Analisis Kemampuan Literasi dan Numerasi Peserta Didik Kelas IV SD Islam Al-Jannah Gabus Wetan Kecamatan Kandanghaur Indramayu Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024

This research is motivated by the results of the PISA (Programme for International Student Assesment) score which shows that the literacy and numeracy skills of Indonesian students are still relatively low, even though elementary school students must have basic literacy and numeracy skills to solve problems in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to determine the literacy and numeracy skills of grade IV students at Al-Jannah Gabuswetan Islamic Elementary School.
The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The population in this study were fourth grade student of SD Islam Al-Jannah Gabuswetan in the 2023/2024 school year. Researchers used 30 samples of fourth grade students. The research data were obtained using student and teacher observation sheets, documentation, interviews, and literacy and numeracy tests on level 2 class AKM questions. The collected research data were analyzed with a qualitative approach.
The result of this study indicate that the literacy skills of grade IV students are in good category with details of 46% of students in the advanced category, 40% of students in the proficient category, and 7% each in the basic category and need special intervention. Meanwhile, the numeracy skills of students are in the moerate category with details of 67% of students in the proficient category and the other 33% in the basic category.
