Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Describe the application of
internship management in increasing student work

competency, (2) Explain supporting factors and
inhibiting factors in the implementation of internship
management in increasing student work competency, and
(3) Prove the effort of Manba'ul 'Ulum Vocational School
to resolve inhibiting factors in implementation of the
internship management in improving student work
competency. This study is a qualitative evaluative. Data
collections are interviews, observations, and
documentation. The subjects of this study were the
principal, educators, students, and the Institutions
Pairing (IP). The data analysis technique is the Miles and
Huberman model consists of data reduction, data
presentation, and conclusions. This study used four
management functions as an analysis of the
implementation of internship management. The results of
the study are: (1) Manba'ul 'Ulum Vocational School has
done well four managements, planning, organizing,
actuating, and controlling in the internship activities, (2)
the supporting factors of implementation of internship
management are an MoU with Institutions Pairing (IP)
and readiness of all components involved in the
Internship activities, and (3) the effort of Manba'ul 'Ulum
Vocational School in increasing student competency is
evaluating regularly, asking suggestions to Institutions
Pairing (IP) about competencies that must be reached by
students.
